Sam Haynes
(Birthday 9th August)

Sam is a GP who runs a successful practice with another partner, Dr MacKinnon. Sam is opinionated but also fair-minded and tries to do her best for people, but doesnt suffer fools gladly.
Sam is Ravis wife, and is the domineering one of the two. They both live in the Millhouse with Jyoti (Ravis younger cousin), whom Sam often defends when Ravi tries to lecture her.
The Haynes have had a few ups and downs in their marriage but they usually seem to work them out. Perhaps their hardest time to date was when Sam was held hostage by her receptionist Claire, who became obsessed with her. At this time, her relationship with Ravis best friend Ant, became too close for comfort. Ant left the Millhouse after admitting to Sam and himself that he was in love with her. When Ravi discovered he walked out for two weeks and began an affair with his client Meg Bartlett.
Sam is unaware of the affair for some time until Ravi slips up once too often and is caught in Megs bed. Sam throws Ravi out.
