London Bridge

Mandana Jones

MONDAY 9 FEBRUARY 1998
6.30 pm CARLTON

Cliff (Billy Geraghty) wakes to his 30th birthday - and a cake presented by Isobel (Sally Edwards) and her daughter Holly.
And though he may pretend to his kitchen colleagues that he is worried about reaching such a milestone, he's happy to go along with Isobel's party plans.
No such happiness reigns in Ravi and Sam's (Ayub Khan Din and Mandana Jones) flat, as his niece Jyoti bolts down Ravi's breakfast, leaving him hungry and disgruntled.
Ravi wonders why his wife will not tell him what Ant said to her on the last night he spent as their flat-mate.
After a tense evening meal together, she decides to spell out exactly how she felt about Ravi's and Ant's differing treatment of her.
Freddie's (Nicholas Pritchard) confession to Allie (Dawn McDaniel) that he can't read is preying on her mind, not helping her cope with her recurring bouts of dizziness.
This episode is written by Duncan Gould and directed by Charles Lauder. The producer is Nicolas Brown; executive producer is Sharon Bloom. LONDON BRIDGE is a Carlton programme.
